Posting this as I ended up listening to some pavement today, finding out that they've reformed for a tour and are currently down my way right at this moment [!] Nice to think about going to the gig, but not too interested - they're not recording anything new, which makes it a nostagia tour. Good to have seen them live back in the day though. They have music on bandcamp but not this one which is what comes to mind.

The Atomic Bitchwax always sound like they're having a lot of fun on their albums and it's great if you're feeling in the mood for something simple and upbeat.

Consume one before fully waking up ;)

Looking for suggestions…please
I've always been drawn, primarily, to alternative music. Some examples go way back to R.E.M., The Smiths and The Cure. A few years ago I discovered [Phoenix](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mcDzf4l9Og) and have latched onto them. Do you have any other recommendations?

MTV hasn't released the original (color + high definition) copy of this performance. I was able to get my hands on a leaked 'sloppy' transfer version and 'remaster' it with post production software.

How do you discover music?
This could be 'new to you' or new music artists. Right now, I've been relying on a local FM radio station.

We’re a collective of individuals upset with the way social media has been traditionally governed. A severe lack of moderation has led to major platforms like Facebook to turn into political machinery focused on disinformation campaigns as a way to make profit off of users. Websites with ineffective moderation allow hate speech to proliferate and contribute to the erosion of minority rights and safe spaces. Our goal with Beehaw is to demonstrate and promote a healthier environment.

    Some thoughts on our philosophy:

Operating our server costs money. If you donate, you should know that 100% of the costs will go towards server time, licensing costs, and artwork. In the future if we need to hire developers or other labor, it would be sourced through the Open Collective Foundation, and it would be transparent to the community before any changes were made.

As a news aggregator and a social media outlet, with a focus on being a safe and accepting space, we strive to create a positive social impact. We will, also, help to connect underprivileged and minority individuals with education and civic participation by promoting a healthier online experience.
