I just created a community to mirror the subreddit [/r/moderatepolitics](https://www.reddit.com/r/moderatepolitics). The subreddit and Lemmy community are aimed towards a wide range of voices, but require participants to act civilly towards each other. Besides that, the goal is to keep the rules as light as possible to foster healthy discussion. I had previously thought about hosting /c/moderatepolitics on its own instance, but it turned out to be far better to host on an existing instance.
